Interests: So many... but who has the time, really, to pursue all of them? Well, that's a thought. Anyway, reading, books, words in general, cross-stitching, the ocean, seas, any body of water, traveling, hiking - in the forest, in the desert, in rivers, up mountains, in the Haven (heehee), anywhere. I love exploring! Watching TV (a few favorite shows), movies, playing on the computer (gamecity.net), talking to friends, biking, using my telescope, singing, dancing ... umm, lots of other things but as my brother pointed out this is kinda long so I will quit now.
Expertise: I am not exactly an expert but... sign language, um, being a sister ... though my brothers may disagree (also living in a big family has helped me to achieve being a good target), reading (definitley an expert there) and in collecting and establishing a varied library. I am certainly an expert at clumsiness and being lost in my thoughts, though with the clumsiness I have at least some excuses, and that's all I have to say about that.
Occupation: Being Real
Industry: Doing the work God has given m

Flowing thoughts

I know it has been quite some time since I have graced this blog with my presence. Being on facebook more has certainly been a factor and I usually can't even make it on there often except by way of my phone. I must admit I do miss the free flow of thought that this blog once afforded me but it seems in recent days I have not had the luxury of such free flowing thoughts. The book I was once so engrossed in writing came to staggering halt. I barely have time to sit and breath anymore. But I must also admit I do so enjoy being kept busy. The only thing with being as busy as I currently seem to be is that every time I have a free minute to myself, I begin to ponder all the things I am not doing, but wish I could do if I weren't so busy. But of course I always forget to make a list of such notions, and when a free minute comes where I think said thought, I have no list in which to take an activity from and become useless for a time until I am yet again busy. It boggles my mind how this vicious circle continues thus. But certain happenstance comes and interrupts the flow, and in those precious moments different activities must be search out, ones that would never have made the list in the first place. Hence, this cycle of mine will be mine for many days forthwith ...

Been too long

So it has been way too long since I have been on here. Things are ok in my life right now. On Tim's b-day we went to Disneyland and that was a hoot. We had a great time kicking around the park and going on the rides we wanted. And we also got to spend some time with Barb and went to Balboa. Well, I had to get him a cheesecake on a stick after all. We also went to Benihana's for both our b-days. Uncle Ed took us, Kristen and her guy, Joe to one when we stopped by to see Kristen on our way out of Cali. And then Tim and I went to the one here at the Hilton for mine. Expensive but fun, and I think worth it.

More recently, as in 2 weeks ago Sun, some idiot hits me while I am stopped. Why people enjoy doing that to me I'll never know, Sheesh! People here just don't know how to drive, for one thing. Anyway, we got my car dropped off and went home and relaxed and then the next day Tim had to go and pop a ligament in his knee or something like that. We still don't know what the actual damage is yet. So the next three days we were in and out of ER's and had little sleep, well I did anyway, can't speak for the kid. That was an adventure. And all this happened right before mom and dad came back from NJ. Yeah, good times.

So now things are getting back to norm. Tim's knee was um, lets say drained of the boysberry jam that was in there. Yuck, but cool video, let me tell you (if you like that kinda thing). I get my car tomorrow hopefully (cross fingers) so then we won't have to car share anymore. Its hard when there are 3-4 people and only two cars to go around, you know? and both the folks are home now too.

and thats wrap . . .

Long time ...

Whoa, its been forever since I've been on here, sorry guys who keep up with this ... I am on facebook more often thankfully so those of you who are there know I am still alive. Work has been crazy busy .. but I love my job. Lots of sad stories come in, I can't really put detail on the web though, but to give you an idea, most of these sad stories are splashed across the news on a daily basis. I love that my part is getting these poor kiddies doctors appointment and following up making sure the are getting the medical care that they need and for most of them, desperately need. I have been working full time on a part time basis, which only means that I am hired by another place to do the work that i am doing just with more pay and with more hours. It confusing but hey, more pay and more hours is great for me. I hope to be full time with the county soon. A few jobs open up soon and my supervisor really wants me to get one of them because of the position and responsibilities i currently have. I am not bragging but it would  literally take two people to do the job that i currently do. She wishes she could create a job specifically for me to fill but the County is running out of money (or more accurately, is just plain out) so we take what we can get. I am currently scheduling kids for well-child exams, making sure immunization are up-to-date, bringing kids back for follow ups, inputting all our sick calls and then following up on bringing them back in as well as being in charge of filling a dental bus twice a week. those are just the main duties I have there is a lot more to my job than just that but it would take too much time to go into details. And since we have more than 3,000 kids in the system you can imaging how busy we can get.

Ok, so yeah that was just a little catch up on what I am currently doing ... nothing else comes to mind ... so good night for now

Work

Today will be my second day on the job. I am a Juvenile Services Assistant for Clark County Family Services. yesterday was seeing how some of the computer work and paperwork and such were done and today will be transporting. We take kids to the doctors and so on. Some live where I work and some are in foster homes so we pick them up and go. And best of all we use County cars not our own so I save on gas, which is good since prices keep escalating. Thankfully I live about 5 miles away from work so its not a long drive. I am very thankful to have a found a great part time job. Thank You God!!! Now hopefully my car will keep running, I need to get it checked as it is leaking coolant continually. Sigh, if its not one things its another, true? ... True
